City Of Puyallup

Welcome to the City of Puyallup located in Washington State. Puyallup is located approximately 11 miles east of Tacoma and 30 miles south of Seattle. It is surrounded by a growing business community and friendly people.

Many years ago Puyallup was an agricultural community. The City of Puyallup continues to show respect to Ezra Meeker who platted and named the town Puyallup which means “generous people”. Ezra Meeker was also the first Mayor who brought electricity and water to Puyallup. Meeker Mansion is still standing downtown and provides tours, weddings, and events.

The City of Puyallup is the home of the Puyallup Fairgrounds which is the 6 largest fairgrounds in the USA and serves over a million visitors a year.
